18 threads /cm2 or 20 threads / cm2 gauze products with widths of 90cm and lengths of 100 meters are alleged to be sold in the market. Unfortunately, commercial ethics are so corruptly distorted and moral principles are so faultily twisted that products which are claimed to be 18 threads / cm2 indeed turn out as tenuous as 15 threads / cm2 and those declared as 20 threads / cm 2 are found to be as loose as 17 threads / cm2 whilst official inspection.

Under these circumstances, price-oriented clients whom are unaware of these technical shortcomings and product deficiencies may prefer these defected goods because they may seem cheaper at first glance.

Nonetheless, casting aside the width of the gauze product along with the number of warps, wefts, the quality of the yarn used and other international quality standards that must be met, when one buys a product which is sold as 100 meters whereas the item is in fact 80 meters, one is paying 20 % more upfront ! We feel obliged to underline and highlight this shameful and saddening fact following the recent ugly events which have unfortunately been recurring in the market.

We claim that the products we offer you are exactly identical to the products we supply to you on all accounts; i.e. length, width and thread-count.

Should there be a discrepancy established by a fair examination, we hereby undertake to pay you a penalty of 10 % amounting to the total value of the goods sent and we pledge to bear the delivery charges.

We kindly request you to take the above-mentioned points into consideration whilst making product comparison and carrying out your final product selection.

Company

Founded in 1999 by Mr. Ekrem Basarir, whom now serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. MEDITEKS remained as a trading company until 2001. Then, it started its own manufacturing facility for the production of Absorbent Cotton Gauze Bandages, Conforming Elastic Bandages, Crepe Elastic Bandages and Compression Elastic Bandages with a small workshop equipped with merely 7 machines.

In the year of 2003, MEDITEKS  started the production of Thermo-Therapy Products with the manufacturing of Hot - Cold Compresses, thereby introducing and contributing to the promotion of these products in the market.

In 2006, Mrs. Begum Ayaydin, who is currently a member of the Board of Directors, joined the company. Following her participation, the company started exporting its products to a great number of companies on a global scale.

In 2007, the company started the production of Gauze Swabs with the aims of expanding its already-wide product range.

At the end of 2008, MEDITEKS has become a huge facility endowed with 44 state-of-the-art machinery and exporting to 32 countries.

In 2012, MEDITEKS set up an Absorbent Cotton Gauze Roll factory of 6000 meter-squares on a land of 20.000 meter-squares in the city of Edirne. Within the very same year, MEDITEKS had also increased its narrow-weaving production plant from the previous 44 to a remarkable 74 brand-new machinery-facility.

In 2013, our factory in Edirne further expanded its wide range of products by having started the manufacturing of Plaster of Paris Bandages. Also in 2013, MEDITEKS commenced its own on-site product sterilization application; thanks to its ongoing close collaboration on Research & Development with Europe's leading machine producers.

With the addition of the state-of-the-art Gauze Swab Folding facility to our second factory in the city of Edirne in January 2014, MEDITEKS has become the biggest Gauze Swab Folding facility in Turkey.

In February 2014, we switched to fully-automated production of Abdominal [ Laparotomy ] Sponges and achieved a daily production capacity of 18.000 units of Abdominal [ Laparotomy ] Sponges in our Edirne facility.

MEDITEKS is now a huge-family of 210 highly-trained and skilled professionals, with a massive production capacity of 7.000.000 meters of Absorbent Cotton Gauze Bandages, Conforming Elastic Bandages, Crepe Elastic Bandages and Compression Elastic Bandages in addition to its manufacturing capacity of 1.750.000 meters of Absorbent Cotton Gauze Rolls, 110.000 Plaster of Paris Bandages, 9.000.000 Gauze Swabs, 396.000 units of Abdominal [ Laparotomy ] Sponges and 75.000 units of Hot / Cold Thermo-Therapy products per month.
